Brandon Hollihan

CEO – EASTGATE CAPITAL MANAGEMENT

Previously co-founded Castleforge Partners, a discretionary real estate fund management business in the U.K. and Europe that invested across sectors in value add and opportunistic real estate and has historically outperformed across multiple vehicles. Prior to this, Brandon worked at Westbrook Partners where he was responsible for investing and managing real estate across asset classes outside the U.S. Prior to this, Brandon worked at Morgan Stanley Real Estate in New York on the investment side, focused on public companies, large portfolios and assets across the U.S. He also acted as an advisor and executed public company restructurings involving a range of M&A, financial origination and disposal requirements.

Samuel Lim

Executive Director – Fund Management

Joined EastGate from ARA Asset Management Limited, where he led investments, business development and asset management for value-add/opportunistic private funds. Prior to this, Samuel held senior management positions in Far East Organization, the largest private property developer in Singapore, including as head of international business development. Samuel started his career in legal practice with Singapore’s largest law firms. Samuel holds an MBA (Honors Distinction) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Laws from the National University of Singapore.

Atsushi Higuchi

Executive director - strategy & execution

Joined Eastgate from Xymax Group, one of the largest real estate property management firms in Japan, where he headed business development & property acquisition teams. During 2020/21 he secured acquisitions in Japan totaling $160 million on behalf of foreign institutional investors. Previously, Atsushi was a general manager of corporate planning at Xymax in Tokyo and before this was a head manager of Xymax Singapore Branch. Atsushi holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Architecture) Degree with Yokohama National University.

Management Committee Members

Founded the Eastgate group and its predecessor in 2006. Prior to this, Shozo was with Morgan Stanley, involved in Japanese and offshore asset sourcing in Australia including project management for the Morgan Stanley real estate funds. Shozo previously worked for Matsushita Investment & Development Corporation in Japan and abroad, managing over $1 billion of assets. 

Joined EastGate in July 2012 as a Managing Director, having previously worked for Silverpeak Real Estate Japan as a Managing Director, where he was responsible for its North Asia business including Japan, Korea and China. Prior to this, Yuichi was a Principal at Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners conducting real estate fund management and asset management in Japan, Korea, China, Singapore and Thailand. Concurrently, Yuichi led a hotel management company as an Executive Director, managing more than 5,500 hotel rooms throughout Japan. Yuichi previously spent over 15 years at one of Japan's largest construction companies.

Joined Eastgate in November 2015, having known and worked with the other principals for more than 15 years at that point. Prior to joining Eastgate, Reid established and ran the Tokyo Investment Properties team at CBRE for over 18 years, capturing and dominating market share across multiple sectors. He has sourced and secured approximately $12 billion in transactions during his tenure at CBRE both in Japan and globally.

Prior to joining Eastgate, Nobu was with CBRE Japan overseeing its Asset Services Division as Managing Director, and prior to this with a boutique PE Fund responsible for debt and equity finance as a principal. At Merrill Lynch Japan, he was responsible for structuring, finance, and execution of its principal investments with focus on real estate backed financial instruments, and at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi (n/k/a MUFJ) he was in charge of non-recourse real estate finance in US.

Prior to joining Eastgate, he led the asset management team at PAG for their opportunistic funds for over nine years in Japan. He has managed more than 350 properties totaling $10 billion of value across asset classes including office, residential, retail, logistics, and data centers. Prior to this, he worked at the real estate investment division in Deutsche Securities in Japan for six years and prior to this built experience in condominium development projects during his time at Sumitomo Corporation.
